LOMPOC WINE TASTING
The secret is out … the rolling hills around Lompoc are producing some of California’s best wines.
The Sta. Rita Hills wine growing region, situated between Lompoc and Buellton, is recognized internationally for its award-winning wines. In summer, while most of Santa Barbara County is basking in high temperatures, the geography of the Sta. Rita Hills funnels cool maritime fog from the coast up the valley, creating the ideal climate for growing exceptional Pinot Noir and Chardonnay grapes.
Start your tasting in the Lompoc Wine Ghetto – a collection of more than 20 tasting rooms in town where you can sample small production wines and meet the winemakers. Most of the wineries are within a few short blocks, so you can park in one location and stroll from one tasting room to the next. Continue your Lompoc tasting adventure along Highway 246 and Santa Rosa Road where our larger Estate Wineries and Vineyards welcome you.
