La Purisima Mission State Historic Park is open from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., seven days a week except Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year’s Day. Parking fee is $6 per car. The most extensively restored mission in the state, La Purisima hosts over 200,000 visitors each year for recreation and a chance to explore California’s heritage. Fabing-McKay-Spanne House Tours

Built in 1875, the Fabing-McKay-Spanne House is named for the three families who had lived in it. Operated by the all-volunteer Lompoc Valley Historical Society, this historic Victorian “farmhouse” has been fully renovated and furnished. Generally open Monday and Thursday morning from 8:30 am to 11 am except major holidays. Also open on the fourth Saturday of the month from 10 am to 1 pm. Sanctuary Tours at the Wild Horse Sanctuary

This docent-guided walking tour of the sanctuary provides quiet herd observation along the way. Family Day at the Ranch

June 10 @ 10:00 am - 4:00 pm

See what it takes to run a wild horse sanctuary by helping with feeding, manure scooping, grooming a tame burro or horse and more! At the end of the day, venture out on a hay ride and see the ranch in full view while watching wild horse herds. Participate in a Native American Blessing of the herds. Lunch, light refreshments and snacks are provided. Suggested minimum donation: $65 per child/adult pair, $20 for each additional child or adult.
