LOMPOC’S VIBRANT MURAL ART

Lompoc’s color palette is not confined to its natural beauty. Our town is home to one of the largest and most vibrant outdoor art galleries in the United States. Celebrating everything from our beautiful scenery to the valley’s native history and flower industry, there are over 35 outdoor murals to behold! The Lompoc Mural Society, a local non-profit dedicated to revitalizing historic old town, along with private entities, have worked in partnership with commissioned artists to create big art all across the city. THE CYPRESS GALLERY

Featuring the work of over 60 local Central Coast California based artists, art lovers will find a diverse collection of fine art at Cypress Gallery. You can explore works of art including watercolors, oils, acrylics, pastels, mixed media, photography, ceramics, jewelry, souvenirs, and more. Throughout the year, the gallery hosts events and seasonal exhibits showcasing artists seasonal works of art. The gallery is open Tuesday thru Sunday from 12 to 4 pm.

LA PURISIMA MISSION ARTWORK

Rich in art, history and culture, La Purisima Mission enjoys the distinction as the most extensively restore mission in California. From 1934-41, artisans, sculptors and painters were hired as part of the New Deal to complete restoration of the mission. Artisans researched and created period furniture, roof and floor tiles, interior paintings, and sculptural elements. As a result, the mission grounds are masterful works of art both inside and out.

LOMPOC POPS ORCHESTRA

Lompoc Pops Orchestra promotes the love of music by performing classical and pops concerts in and around Lompoc. After forming in 1997 to provide entertainment for Vandenberg Air Force Bases space week, the orchestra has continued to rehearse and perform throughout the year. Not only does the orchestra promote music appreciation, the musicians involved generously provide music education and outreach programs throughout the Lompoc Valley.
