5 Dog Friendly Activities in Lompoc!

Choosing where to go and where to eat when you have a dog can be a little tricky. It is important to find locations that allow you and your furry friend to feel comfortable. Thankfully, Lompoc has some great dog-friendly spots for you and your pup to enjoy. Whether you want to adventure or relax, Lompoc has some fantastic hiking trails, off-leash dog parks, pet-friendly restaurants and shops, and sightseeing activities you will not want to miss out on!

1. 1) La Purisima Mission State Park

   La Purisima Mission State Park is one of the most restored missions in California. Although the dogs are not allowed inside the mission. Visitors and their dogs can enjoy the 5-acre garden and nearly 25 acres of hiking trails on the historic premises. Visitors must be sure to keep their dog leashed during the visit and clean up after their dog!

   

2. 2) Barkin Park

   Barkin Park is one of Lompoc’s best dog parks and is sure to have your pup barking in excitement. There is a big dog side and a small/shy dog side of the park that helps all of Lompoc’s dogs feel safe and welcome. A variety of benches, shady trees, and lots of green grass make it an ideal place to play!

   

3. 3) South Side Coffee Company

   South Side Coffee Company is a perfect place to sit and take in the outside scenery. Even better, the café is dog friendly and allows visitors to sit out on the front patio with their furry friends. Enjoy the fabulous coffee, bagels, sandwiches, and wraps that are made fresh daily. South Side is open daily from 5:30 am -3:30 pm
   

4. 4) Jalama Beach Burgers

   Jalama Beach Burgers are most popular for their world-famous hamburgers and classic vibes. The spot has been a local favorite for many and is a perfect spot to grab a bite with your canine companion! The restaurant welcomes dogs at their outdoor and serves breakfast, lunch or an early dinner daily from 8 am – 7 pm.

   

5. 5) Pali Wine Co.

   Pali Wine Co. offers a great experience for wine lovers and dog lovers alike! Four-legged sidekicks can join their pet parents as they experience some of the finest wines that Lompoc has to offer! Pali Wine Co. is open Thursday through Saturday from 12 pm to 7 pm, Sunday from 11 am to 6 pm, and Monday from 12 pm to 5 pm.
