Return to Freedom Opening Day

Saturday, May 6th is Opening Day at the Return to Freedom Wild Horse Conservation! This is a wonderful event to attend with your family, friends, or alone. The event marks the start of their 2023 season and will include a guided walking tour of the sanctuary, time for herd observation, a Native American blessing of the horses and land, and an opportunity to meet and take a photo with Spirit! Spirit is the Kiger mustang that the 2002 DreamWorks animated feature film, “Spirit: Stallion of the Cimarron” was modeled after. Additionally, guests will be offered wine tastings from local wineries, “eclectic locavore food”, and the opportunity to shop in their onsite store.
