Point Sal State Beach
Pristine sandy beaches, wildlife and seasonal wildflowers make way for gorgeous panoramic views of the ocean for the adventurous day hiker. Only accessible after a 10-mile hike (round trip), Point Sal State Beach is a secluded area with tidepools, marine wildlife and 1.5 miles of oceanfront beach. Fishing, photography, picnics, sunbathing and nature study are all fun activities at this beautiful beach just 30m north of Lompoc near Guadalupe.
“Views of the coastline, beach and rugged mountain slopes are exceptional. Lion Rock, located offshore, is an important bird-roosting site and is also used by sea lions and other marine mammals.” – California Parks
