Pristine sandy beaches, wildlife and seasonal wildflowers make way for gorgeous panoramic views of the ocean for the adventurous day hiker. Only accessible after a 10-mile hike (round trip), Point Sal State Beach is a secluded area with tidepools, marine wildlife and 1.5 miles of oceanfront beach. Fishing, photography, picnics, sunbathing and nature study are all fun activities at this beautiful beach just 30m north of Lompoc near Guadalupe.
“Views of the coastline, beach and rugged mountain slopes are exceptional. Lion Rock, located offshore, is an important bird-roosting site and is also used by sea lions and other marine mammals.” – California Parks
True. That is all. Go. Hop a fence or two along the way if u have to because sometimes in Life we need to go where most people wouldnt to discover what most people wont.. That #motivation #fomyazz and #foyoazz .
This is a hike I’ve wanted to do for quite some time and finally made it out yesterday. It’s called point sal, it’s some of the most beautiful coastal region of California I have ever seen. About a 10 mile hike to and from point sal beach, you encounter quite the wonderful landscape along the way. This specific view is unreal. I never get bored exploring California, always somewhere new and beautiful to see. #pointsal #california #californiadreaming #californialove #landscapephotography #nikonnofilter #landscape_hunter #getoutstayout #optoutside #hikes #adventurenthusiasts #adventureland #californiastyle #folkscenery #shotzdelight #killaframez

Point Sal 📍 This amazing beach hike is gorgeous and I cannot recommend it enough. It has some very unusual features that are cool. # 1 The trail crosses over into Vandenberg Air Force Base. #2 When you get to the end of the trail there are two signs that say treacherous slope. Explore the left side and you will find a super questionable rope that will drop you 30-40ft down a steep cliff to the gorgeous beach. #3 Because of the intense effort to get to the beach it’s often secluded. If you do happen to catch people it will most likely be awesome locals standing on the shoreline casting out their fishing lines. #4 It is a fire road most of the way and you’ll be thinking why is this rated hard? Just wait until you head back up. Then you feel the endless grind. That is unless you’re like the guys in my last slide. 😉
