New Hilton Garden Inn opens in Lompoc, bringing upscale amenities and a fresh restaurant concept to travelers

Lompoc’s first new hotel property in more than 30 years opened October 27, 2017, adding 156 spacious guest rooms, including 27 suites, for business and leisure travelers seeking upscale yet affordable accommodations on the California Central Coast. The Hilton Garden Inn Lompoc is just minutes from Vandenberg Space Force Base, the acclaimed Sta. Rita Hills wine region, La Purisima Mission State Historic Park, the Lompoc Wine Ghetto, and La Purisima Golf Course. Located at 1201 North H Street, the hotel offers an array of modern amenities and services including complimentary Wi-Fi and hardwired connections throughout the entire hotel, a 24-hour business services, state-of-the-art fitness center, heated pool and spa, the Garden Market, and shuttle services for guests.

Onsite is a new restaurant concept developed especially for this property. Valle Eatery & Bar offers a California cuisine inspired menu showcasing fresh, local ingredients, handcrafted cocktails, microbrew beers, and local wines. Under the culinary talent of Chef Conrad Gonzales, the menu offerings include beer battered Brussels sprouts, braised pork belly tacos, bone-in rib eye, slow smoked porketta, stuffed poblano chiles, wood-fired pizza and more. The restaurant is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner, and also provides catering for on-site meetings and functions.

“The hotel brings a whole new level of hospitality to Lompoc visitors, and much needed meeting space for conferences, receptions, and special events,” says Gilda Cordova, Director of Operations of Lompoc Land Holdings, the company that owns the property. “After nearly two years of construction — and months of planning before that — we are thrilled to finally be open,” she added.

Showcasing “local” is a theme throughout the hotel, from its Mission style architecture and Central Coast inspired décor with Lompoc photo canvases adorning the walls, to Lompoc area wines and locally sourced ingredients on the menu. In fact, Valle Eatery teamed up with acclaimed Lompoc wine producer Rick Longoria of Longoria Wines to create a red wine blend called “Bloom.”

For business conferences and other events, the hotel features state-of-the-art audio visual and more than 3,500 square feet of flexible meeting space that can accommodate up to 350 (reception) and 200 (banquet). The Hennessy Ballroom can be divided into four rooms, and a separate board room and a conservatory offer private space for more intimate meetings and dinners for up to ten. The foyer connects the ballroom to the outdoor patio for mingling and cocktail receptions.
