Want to see some big art? In Lompoc it’s everywhere. Over 30 murals on street corners, in alley ways, and on sides of prominent buildings have turned Old Town Lompoc into an outdoor art gallery.
Lompoc Murals are one of the city’s top attractions, depicting scenes of Lompoc’s heritage, flower industry, historic sights, ethnic diversity, scenic beauty and more. Most of the murals are curated by the Lompoc Mural Society, a local non-profit dedicated to revitalizing historic old town and the valley’s economy through cultural tourism, and using art as a tool to help build bridges across barriers between ethnic and cultural groups.
Visitors from all over the world come to see the Lompoc murals, what are you waiting for? Take a self-guided tour of the murals – and enjoy lunch, wine tasting, and antiquing along the route! Stop by the Lompoc Valley Chamber of Commerce & Visitors Bureau for a mural map and tips on places to see and things to do along the route.
