Shelby Means, widely regarded as one of bluegrass’s leading bassists, brings a distinctive stage presence and a grounded, magnetic style to the upright bass. She is also a skilled songwriter and an expressive vocalist, blending deep traditional roots with a voice that is uniquely her own. A former member of the all-female bluegrass group Della Mae, she later earned her first GRAMMY® as part of Molly Tuttle & Golden Highway. Her performance credits include the Grand Ole Opry, Bonnaroo, the Telluride Bluegrass Festival, and Newport Folk, and she will be joined in concert by mandolin, guitar, and fiddle.
