Celebrate fall at historic Rancho San Julian and pick your perfect pumpkin a REAL Pumpkin Patch! The pumpkin patch offers 15 varieties of gorgeous pumpkins and winter squash available for purchase. This is an event for the entire family and a great way to get children out into country and enjoy the fall harvest season.

Entrance to the Pumpkin Patch is free.  Tickets required for special events, listed below.

Open weekends in October, from 11 am to 6 pm, on the following dates:

Sat, October 6 and Sun, October 7

Sat, October 13 and Sun, October 14

Sat, October 20 and Sun, October 21

Sat, October 27 and Sun, October 28

Special Events:

October 6: Family Brunch in the Pumpkin Patch

9 am to 11 am

Tickets: $30 (adults); $20 (children, 2 to 18); free for under two

Enjoy some coffee, fresh juice and a light brunch while learning about growing pumpkins, the wildlife that surrounds the patch and all that goes along with farming and ranching on Rancho San Julian. This event will be focused on the children but fun for the adults as well. Each paid ticket includes a medium carving pumpkin.

October 20: Kids Art and Nature Walk

9:30 am to 11:30 am

$25 – Children, ages 2+ (No charge for adults)

Children will learn how pumpkins are grown through exploration with cattle ranchers/pumpkin growers Elizabeth Poett and Katie Hames. They will spend the morning exploring the farm field, visiting the corn patch and flower forest with naturalist Sally Isaacson where they will discover birds, ladybugs and learn about the wildlife that lives in and around the pumpkin patch. They will also create a work of art to take home, made from natural objects found on the ranch, with artist Blakeney Sanford.
