NAOS (National Advanced Optical System) is Luxembourg’s eye in the sky—part of the country’s dual-use satellite system, LUXEOSys. Built by OHB Italia, the 800 kg satellite orbits 450 km above Earth, snapping ultra-sharp images with a 50 cm resolution. Its mission: deliver high-res visuals to NATO and other global defense partners for the next 7 years.
