Lompoc is going to the dogs at the annual four-day Lompoc Valley Kennel Association Dog Show held the at Ryon Park in Lompoc. It’s one of the top dog shows in the region!
Scores of breeders, trainers, handlers and canines from across the nation come to Lompoc for this national dog show, judged by standards approved by the American Kennel Club. Specialty competitions are held Thursday and Friday, and the Lompoc Valley Kennel Club will then present its all-breed dog shows on Saturday and Sunday. Hours are 8:30 am to 5 pm.

Friday: Sighthound contests including Western Sighthound Combined Specialties Show
Saturday & Sunday: The All Breed Show plus showmanship, junior showmanship, obedience and breed rallies. Organizers are expecting about 700 dogs each day for the all breed show!
All shows are open to the public, and admission is free. Judging begins each day at 8 am and typically wraps up at about 2 pm with winners advancing to the group contest immediately thereafter. Best-in-show judging runs close to 5 p.m.
